Founded in 1957 by Mr. Medyan Mohammad Alkotop in a small shop in downtown Amman, Metro began as a family business serving multiple local markets. In 1964, the company relocated to King Hussein Street and introduced automatic machinery, setting the stage for innovation. Over the following decades, Metro became a pioneer in Jordan by investing in advanced technology, including the country’s first offset press, and later an Automatic Folder Gluer. This period also marked the growth of a highly skilled professional team, strengthening both expertise and capacity. In 1991, Metro moved once again to King Abdullah II Industrial Estate, where it expanded into pharmaceutical packaging solutions to meet rising market demand. In 2024, Metro entered a new era with the opening of its state-of-the-art plant, featuring expanded facilities, advanced technologies, and enhanced safety measures reinforcing its position as a trusted partner in packaging innovation.
